Lithology and Thickness

It is represented by a thick layer of greenish and dark gray argillaceous clays and less often by siltstones with layers of fine-grained sandstones and rare thin coal beds. The thickness of the suite is 200-270 m.

The plant remains encountered in the layer are rare and unrepresentative.


Age 

The Upper Triassic age of the suite is established by E. N. Dubrovskaya (Explanation note..., 1971) based on the spore-pollen complex. The age was confusing whether it’s a misspelling or Triassic, so put in Early Triassic for schematic stratigraphic purpose.
